  • Sales Consultant

  • Folder Operator

    Action Printing, an industry leading catalog, manual and book manufacturer is seeking an experienced, team-oriented Folder Operator who is responsible for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the Finishing department folding machines. The Folder operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the company’s folders according to job specifications, Action Printing quality specifications and the daily production schedule. Other bindery tasks may be assigned from time to time as warranted by work loads and production requirements.

    Qualifications include a demonstrated knowledge and ability to
    • Read and understand the job ticket
    • Understand bindery and folder related specifications
    • Interact with scheduling & management to facilitate the daily schedule
    • Work with press department to aid quality inspection of printing before proceeding with folding
    • Understand customer quality requirements and Gannett quality specifications
    • Understand and use proofs in checking folding attributes
    • MBO/Navigator and Baum folder experience a plus.

  • Maintenance Manager

    Action Printing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance including all machine maintenance for our 100,000 sq ft building located in Fond du Lac. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all web press, sheet fed press, bindery and finishing equipment according to the rules and procedures established. The position is responsible for the supervision of all staff assigned to the maintenance operation. Such supervision will include coaching, training and motivating for top performance as well as assuring conformance to the rules and procedures established. The maintenance manager will assist departments in their efforts to devise methods of work simplification, process improvement and cost reductions. He/she will remain technically current in areas of expertise and financially evaluate new systems and equipment.

    Qualified candidates will offer a minimum of five years of experience in a printing company with related maintenance experience, a complete understanding of pre-press, press, bindery and finishing equipment and systems, excellent knowledge of electrical motors, programmable logic controllers, pulleys, belts, shafts and bearings, preventative maintenance techniques and procedures as well as knowledge of the maintenance department computer inventory system of spare parts and supplies. The ideal candidate will also offer thorough knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and HVAC system repairs. Good documenting, process measuring and communication skills are required. A working knowledge of PC as well as spreadsheet and word processing software is also a must.
